Stick and Puck

Welcome to Stick and Puck! The names stems from my love of the game of hockey. I cannot guarantee up-to-date hockey information here, but I can guarantee my political views and bizarre sense of humor will be in full effect. If you are easily offended, or have an affinity for the Repulican Party, you may want to read elsewhere. If you have an open mind and good sense of humor, come on in. Baby Update!

Age of Fetus—19 weeks

You may now be able to detect and anticipate cycles of sleep, drowsiness and activity. The baby is getting stronger and looking much like a tiny newborn with a natural formed mouth and lips, nose and closed eyelids. By the end of the week you are halfway through your pregnancy!

Other changes that are happening:
  • The baby's legs will be close to the final natural proportion to the body and head.
  • The baby's heart can be detected by a standard stethoscope. Your hair and nails tend to grow rapidly now because of hormones that are released during your pregnancy.

Baby's Size and Weight this week:

  • Size: About 7.25 inches (head to rump).
  • Weight: Approximately 10.5 ounces
  • Right now your baby is about the size of a large banana.

Thank you! Ashley is starting to feel the wrath of the little gymnast. He/She's just tossin' and turnin' in there!
