Baby Update!
Age of Fetus—19 weeks
You may now be able to detect and anticipate cycles of sleep, drowsiness and activity. The baby is getting stronger and looking much like a tiny newborn with a natural formed mouth and lips, nose and closed eyelids. By the end of the week you are halfway through your pregnancy!
Other changes that are happening:
- The baby's legs will be close to the final natural proportion to the body and head.
- The baby's heart can be detected by a standard stethoscope. Your hair and nails tend to grow rapidly now because of hormones that are released during your pregnancy.
